Flavia Codsi

Flavia Codsi is a painter who was born in Beirut in 1961 and continues to work there.  Self-trained in  painting and drawing, she earned a degree in interior design and worked in that field for several years.   he entered the world of public art exhibitions by winning the Dorothy Salhab Kazemi prize at the  Salon d'Automne of Sursock Museum in 1994. Hamed Nada

Kareem Risan

Kareem Risan is a painter and book artist who was born in Baghdad, Iraq in 1960.  He graduated from Baghdad University’s College of Fine Arts in 1988.  He has had solo exhibitions in galleries and cultural centers in Baghdad and Jordan, and he has participated in many group exhibitions throughout the Middle East, in Europe (including the British Museum’s exhibition Word into Art), and most recently in the United States as part of the traveling exhibition Dafatir.  Risan is the recipient of numerous prizes at exhibitions in Iraq, Egypt, and Tunis.  He currently lives in exile between Jordan and Syria.  more  »

Louay Kayyali

Louay Kayyali was born in Aleppo in 1934. From 1956 to 1961, he studied decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. Afterwards he joined the faculty at the Higher Institute for the Fine Arts in Damascus in 1962 with the honor of having been Syria's representative to the Venice Biennale in 1960 (with Fateh al-Mudaress).
