Ara Azad (b. 1962, Beirut) resides in Boston, MA. Ara Azad is the author of Mailed Paintings and is known for his in-situ exhibitions paralleled with ephemeral sound sculptures which have been exhibited in Lebanon and internationally since 2002. An educator and a lecturer he is the curator of the yearly Embrace Art Exhibition and the former (1996-98) representative of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Massachusetts. He holds degrees from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Tufts University, and the Institute for Global Leadership (Formerly EPIIC Education for Public Inquiry and International Citizenship at Tufts University). Reviewed in Arabic, Armenian, Dutch, English, French, German, and Italian, Ara Azad is represented by Galerie Janine Rubeiz-Beirut.
