Job Opportunity with ArteEast: Program and Communications Coordinator

ArteEast is seeking a Program and Communications Coordinator to support in the administration, coordination, and management of programs and projects. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, self-driven, and able to wear many hats. The candidate must excel at managing multiple projects, adhering to strict schedules, and meeting deadlines.

Location: Remote
Position Type: 25-30 hours per week
Salary: Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing ArteEast’s programs and events.
  • Manage and regularly update ArteEast’s website.
  • Oversee ArteEast’s social media channels by creating and scheduling engaging content.
  • Support fundraising efforts, including assisting with grant writing, grant reports, and other fundraising initiatives as needed.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Executive Director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Arts Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Experience in communications, social media management, and marketing.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) is a plus!
  • Familiarity with website management (WordPress or similar platforms).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines.
  • Interest in contemporary arts and cultural programming from the SWANA region.
  • Candidates from Middle Eastern or North African backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

This is a Hybrid/Remote role! (Preferred: New York Area) – Embrace the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world! This position offers a hybrid/remote work arrangement. While we welcome talent from across the globe, we prefer candidates in the same or a similar time zone, with a special interest in those based in the New York area.
