The symposium Taking Shape: New Perspectives on Arab Abstraction, planned for March 2020 by ArteEast in partnership with NYU’s Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies and Grey Art Gallery, had to be cancelled due to concerns related to the spread of COVID-19, as the pandemic was just beginning to hit NYC.
